In a Ticimax store, the first thing to get right is that no second tool repeats a job the platform already does: list which of its campaign setups, site exit alert, timed pop-up and Chrome notifications you use, and give the tools you add later only the jobs these features don’t cover. If nothing on your site yet asks visitors for a phone number and permission to message them on WhatsApp, a tool that does is the first thing to add. Campaign messages may be sent only to people who have agreed to receive them, so start by switching on a single window that collects consent, such as a lead capture pop-up or a gift wheel. Then move on to the stage where most of your sales slip away: if shoppers add products to their carts but don’t complete payment, the shipping fee and cart reminders come first; if customers who placed a first order don’t come back, post-purchase WhatsApp messages do.
Using the sections below, you can decide which tool to switch on where: Ticimax’s exit alert or an exit survey, its timed pop-up or a window that collects consent. You will also settle what the checkboxes on your sign-up and wheel forms should say and which WhatsApp message the discount code belongs in. A separate article on Ticimax WhatsApp integration lists which Pushouse modules plug straight into Ticimax; for ways to grow sales that work on any platform, see our guide to increasing e-commerce sales.

Don’t rebuild what Ticimax already gives you
Ticimax’s page on its conversion-boosting features mentions more than 400 campaign setups. The same page lists a site exit alert that puts a final offer in front of visitors on their way out, a timed pop-up that opens after a set amount of time, and Chrome notifications that reach users who have allowed them in their browser; payment options, along with free shipping and custom delivery options, are on the list as well. Before you pick a new add-on to increase sales on Ticimax, compare that list with your own admin panel and note on which page, and at what point in the visit, each active feature appears. When two tools share one job, a visitor may be faced with two windows at once.
Give each job to a single tool. Keep the discount rules in Ticimax’s campaign settings: every code you show on the wheel, in a pop-up or on the discount tab should have a campaign rule defined in your Ticimax panel, and you should try the code in your own cart before it goes live. The window should state exactly the same conditions: which products the code is valid for, the minimum cart total and when it expires. When the wording on your site and the result in the cart differ, the customer won’t find the promised discount in their cart.
On the cart side, too, check the platform’s own options first. Where the shipping fee is what drives visitors away, try Ticimax’s free shipping and custom delivery options before adding a new window; where many carts are abandoned at the payment step, review the payment options you offer before turning to a reminder message. If you don’t yet know why visitors leave, ask them first with the exit survey described in the last section.
Ask for consent on the first visit, with a single window
A visitor who leaves without giving you a phone number and consent to be contacted is someone you can’t write to on WhatsApp later. Promotional messages such as campaign announcements, birthday greetings and win-back messages can only go to customers who have consented, and a form shown on the first visit lets you ask for that consent without waiting for a sign-up or an order. Some of the promotional messages in the sections that follow rely on consent collected at this step, others on consent given during sign-up. There are two tools you can ask for consent with, and which one suits you depends on what you sell. The third option, the discount tab, shows no form and therefore collects no consent; while the wheel or the pop-up collects consent, the tab keeps a public campaign code visible at the edge of the page.
Don’t open the consent window on the same page as the timed pop-up
Show at most one pop-up per page view; elements docked to the side of the screen that visitors can close don’t count toward that limit. While Ticimax’s timed pop-up is switched on, keep the wheel and the lead capture pop-up off the same pages, because each of them asks the visitor to make a decision. Where the timed pop-up is used to announce campaigns, you can move the announcement to the discount tab and reserve that one window for consent. A request to allow Chrome notifications shouldn’t overlap with the consent window on the first visit either. Don’t count permission for browser notifications as WhatsApp consent; ask for each one separately and record each one separately.
A clear invitation for considered purchases
For expensive products that customers buy after some thought, give visitors a clear reason to sign up rather than a game: news of new products, campaign announcements or a benefit on their first order. In the lead capture pop-up, use the display rules to choose which step of the shopping journey the window accompanies, and make the offer relevant to that step. Beyond name and phone number, ask only for the fields you will actually use, and put the offer’s conditions next to the button:
Be the first to see our new-season products. Leave your name and number to hear about our promotions, and once you’ve signed up we’ll send you a 100 TL discount code for a first order of 1,000 TL or more. The code is valid for 30 days.
A gift wheel for impulse buys
In stores with a wide range of products that people buy on impulse, such as cosmetics, accessories or home goods, a spin-to-win gift wheel turns signing up into a game. On the Pushouse wheel, you can put a discount or free shipping on the slices and leave some of them without a prize; the winning code is shown on screen or sent via WhatsApp, and a tab on the side of the page keeps it in view as a reminder. Codes can come from a ready-made code pool, from a single fixed code or, on supported store connections, from automatic code generation. When a code can’t be generated, the wheel doesn’t tell the customer they’ve won a prize; if you use a pool, make sure enough codes are left in it for the whole campaign, and try every prize once in a Ticimax cart before it goes live.
Before you fill in the slices, calculate what share of your average order’s gross profit each prize would cost you; for low-margin products, offer free shipping or a fixed-amount code valid above a set cart total instead of a percentage discount.
Don’t show the pop-up and the wheel to the same visitor. Choose one and try the other in a later period; by comparing the number of consents collected over two periods of equal length that don’t coincide with a sale, you can get a sense of which suits your store better. When you know how many people saw the window, look at the share of them who left their details rather than the raw number of sign-ups.
Split consent by message type on your forms
Consent checkboxes and the date-of-birth field
The sign-up form is where a visitor can leave their name, contact details and consent all at once. A new member welcome message goes automatically to customers who have just registered on your site and agreed to be contacted, and you can attach a gift voucher to it if you wish. The consent wording on the form is therefore the basis for both the welcome message and the promotional messages that follow.
On the wheel and pop-up forms, ask for consent with separate checkboxes that are not pre-checked: one for receiving order and shipping updates on WhatsApp, the other for receiving promotions and offers on WhatsApp. On the Ticimax sign-up form, first find out which consent box your messaging tool relies on; rather than adding a new box, make sure the wording of that box also mentions WhatsApp. Every box should clearly name your store and say that the messages will come via WhatsApp:
I agree to receive order and shipping updates from {{store name}} on WhatsApp.
I agree to receive promotions and offers from {{store name}} on WhatsApp.
For WhatsApp birthday messages, the date of birth can be taken from the membership record or requested through a small window you add to your site. Where your Ticimax sign-up form asks for a date of birth, first check how many members have filled in that field; if the share is low, collect the missing dates with the window. For greeting texts and offer options, see our article on birthday campaigns. When birth dates are scarce, the anniversary of a customer’s first order gives you a similar reason to write; you can set up a purchase anniversary message for that.
Where the regulation and WhatsApp’s policy differ
Because most of your flows reach the same customers, keep consent records in one place and have every flow check that record before sending. Also write down, once and for all, which message relies on which consent; the rules vary by message type.
Article 5 of the current text of the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages (Ticari İletişim ve Ticari Elektronik İletiler Hakkında Yönetmelik) requires prior consent not only for messages that promote products and services but also for messages meant to raise a business’s profile with content such as celebrations and good wishes. It also bans commercial electronic messages to recipients who have no consent on record in İYS (İleti Yönetim Sistemi), Türkiye’s national register of consent to commercial electronic messages. Because the article names celebratory messages explicitly, birthday greetings should also go only to customers who have given consent. Article 7 sets out what a consent must contain: an affirmative statement that the recipient agrees to receive messages, their first and last name, and their contact address; for consent obtained through İYS, the affirmative statement and the contact address are enough. A consent box cannot come pre-checked. Consent you collect outside İYS, for example through a form, must be entered into İYS within three business days, or it is treated as invalid. Ask your legal adviser whether consent to receive WhatsApp messages also has to be recorded in İYS.
For order-related notifications, the rule is different: Article 6(2) of the regulation exempts notifications about purchases and deliveries from the prior-consent requirement, but the same provision forbids promoting or advertising any product or service in them. Show your texts to your legal adviser if you aren’t sure whether they stay within that limit.
WhatsApp’s rule, by contrast, makes no distinction between message types. The WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy requires that the person you write to has given you their number or username themselves and agreed to receive messages from you, and that every request to stop messages or to block you is honored, whether it reaches you on WhatsApp or anywhere else. Even the order notifications that the regulation exempts from consent need this opt-in before you can send them on WhatsApp. The policy’s best practices also recommend getting opt-in separately for each type of message, such as order updates and promotions; the two separate checkboxes above are based on that recommendation.
Article 9 of the regulation requires every commercial message to offer a way to opt out, so make sure each one you send shows how to leave your list. Count messages across all your flows, too, rather than flow by flow: a customer who signs up, abandons a cart and joins your campaign list in the same week may receive three separate messages that each look reasonable on their own. Put order and shipping information first, and hold campaign and win-back messages back from anyone who has had another message from you that day.
Decide where discount codes and promotions go in your WhatsApp flows
As you switch on WhatsApp marketing flows in your Ticimax store one at a time, two decisions keep the messages from weakening one another: which message the discount code goes in, and what the order notifications must not carry.
Put the code in the welcome message or the first-order reminder
A person who has signed up and agreed to be contacted but hasn’t ordered yet is your warmest prospect: someone who already knows your store. Two messages can go to them: the welcome message that comes with membership and, once the waiting period you set has passed, a first-purchase incentive message that reaches only members who have never ordered. Don’t put a code in both messages. If the welcome included a code, let the second message remind the member when that code expires; if the welcome went out without a code, save the offer for the second message. Sending a code in both can get members used to waiting for a second discount before they place their first order.
Hi {{customer name}}, welcome aboard. Your code {{discount code}} for your first order is valid until {{expiry date}}. Have a look at our new-season products here: {{link}} You can unsubscribe from these messages using the button below.
Hi {{customer name}}, the discount code that came with your membership expires in a few days; you’ll find it in our welcome message. If you can’t decide on a size, message us here and we’ll check the measurements with you. You can unsubscribe from these messages using the button below.
Set the second message’s waiting period so that it goes out a few days before the code expires; otherwise the reminder will mention a code that has already run out. Remove the sentence inviting the customer to reply if nobody will be reading the replies. Also edit the unsubscribe line in both samples to match the button that actually works in your messaging tool.
Keep order and shipping notifications strictly about the order
Notifications telling customers that their order has been placed, confirmed or shipped don’t bring in sales directly; their job is to keep customers informed about their order’s status without them having to ask. A customer who knows where their order is may have less reason to call your support line. Don’t add a discount code or product recommendations to these messages; the legal basis for this is Article 6(2), which we cited in the previous section. Announce campaigns in messages of their own, and only to people who have opted in to promotions. With the WhatsApp Order Tracking notification turned on, leave the “shipped” step unselected in your Order Updates flow so that customers don’t hear about the shipment twice.
Cart, review and win-back flows
When most carts are abandoned at the point where the shipping fee appears, use your WhatsApp cart recovery message to remind customers of your free-shipping threshold instead of offering a code; the article on whether an abandoned cart calls for a discount code calculates when a discount still leaves you a profit. Where product pages have few reviews, ask for a rating and a short review after delivery with a WhatsApp feedback survey; reviews aren’t published until you approve them, and approved reviews carry a verified badge on the product page, since each one is tied to an order record. For customers who haven’t shopped in a long time, the WhatsApp We Miss You flow automatically sorts them into a “becoming less active” group and a “lost customers” group based on their purchase history; write first to the customers who are becoming less active, without a code, and save the discount for lost customers.
Choose the exit alert’s offer based on survey answers
When you use Ticimax’s exit alert to show departing visitors an offer, don’t open a second exit window on the same page. To learn first why visitors are leaving, put Pushouse’s exit-intent popup survey in place of the offer window, with price, shipping fee, delivery time and product information as the answer options.
Keep Ticimax’s exit alert switched off on those pages while the survey is running. Once you have collected enough answers, choose the alert’s offer based on the most common answer and switch the survey off. Where most respondents pick the shipping fee, highlight your free-shipping threshold instead of a percentage discount; where most found the product information lacking, fill in what’s missing on your product pages before choosing an offer. When delivery time leads, no discount will remove that worry; state clearly on the product page and in the cart roughly how many days an order takes to arrive. Our e-commerce exit survey guide shows which pages the survey is useful on.
Visitors’ reasons for leaving can change with the season and with your campaign calendar, so don’t treat the offer you choose as permanent. After using it for a few months, switch the survey on again outside sale weeks and ask the same question, keeping the exit alert off again for that period. If you’d like to set up on-site tools and WhatsApp flows together in your Ticimax store, get in touch with us, and we’ll look at your store’s numbers and choose the first step together.
